About Me

Originally from Cardiff in the UK, I loved to write from an early age – I had my first pen pal by the age of 12 years old.

After nearly 20 years in various office roles in London I called it quits and relocated to Asia in 2017, spending three years living in Singapore.

That same year I launched Where You’re Between, a travel website consisting of detailed destination guides and in-depth itineraries based on my own extensive travels across the globe over the previous 15 years.

On Where You’re Between I’ve written accounts of my travels to a wide range of locations. These include a road trip around the Westfjords of Iceland, an alternative guide to Las Vegas and how to spend a couple of days in my home city of Cardiff.

I’ve also added guides to many of the destinations I’ve visited whilst living in Asia, including Bangkok, Bhutan, Jeju Island, Malaysia, North Korea and multiple visits to Australia.

In 2020 I moved to Tokyo in Japan and began working as a freelance writer and photographer. Specialising in the areas of travel and culture, I have written for a number of clients based in Japan, including Tokyo Weekender, Live Japan, Voyapon, Tsunagu Japan and more.
